Career
Alan Dzagoev began his youth career with Vladikavkaz, the club he supported as a boy, before moving on to Krylia Sovetov of the Russian second division. After an impressive debut season of six goals in 37 appearances at the tender age of 16, Dzagoev moved transferred to CSKA Moscow.
Since making the move to Moscow, Dzagoev has racked up 15 goals in 47 appearances, playing mostly as a second striker to Brazilian marksman Vágner Love.
Dzagoev has made his international debut against Germany, becoming Russia's youngest ever outfield player at the age of 18 years and 116 days. He has since made a further four appearances for his national team, gaining the respect of boss Guus Hiddink. Hiddink has been quoted as saying "Alan is a really clever player with the ability to make a killer pass and stretch the play."
